SALT LAKE CITY – Park City Group, a cloud-based software company that uses big data management to help retailers and their suppliers, has announced that a national retailer surpassed its fiscal 2014 goals by reducing direct store delivery inventory investment costs by 22%.
Working with 20 different DSD vendors, the retailer leveraged Park City Group’s Visibility & Analytics to see and optimize store-level inventories, improve space-tosales efficiencies and, where appropriate, transition key vendors to Scan-Based Trading.
Visibility & Analytics is a first step in Park City Group’s process that identifies both inefficiencies and their root causes in a customer’s supply chain by looking back through the supply chain starting from the consumer purchase. Once the opportunities for improvement are identified, all parties in the supply chain can work collaboratively to achieve performance improvement with shared scorecards.
"When this retailer gained visibility to their DSD inventory levels, their suspicions around inventory reduction opportunities were confirmed," stated Randall Fields, CEO of Park City Group. "Having achieved their annual goal, we are very pleased the retailer is eager to expand and achieve similar results.”
