MILFORD, Mass. — Pharma Compliance Group on Tuesday announced the launch of its proprietary prescription analysis software LongitudeRx. LongitudeRx assists pharmacies, distributors and manufacturers in the analysis of their controlled substance distribution, inventory and dispensing.
The principles and functions behind this robust tool were developed with the insight of former diversion investigators, pharmacy retail analysts and certified business professionals. The result is a software subscription program that turns volumes of pharmaceutical data into actionable information.
PCG President, Matt Murphy, a 26-year DEA veteran and former chief pharmaceutical investigations for the agency said, “PCG saw the pharma industry’s challenge of meeting the ‘due diligence’ and ‘know your customer’ standards of the federal regulations. I spent my career watching companies with the best of intentions struggle to develop effective methods and practices to protect the country’s critical drug supply chain, prevent abuse and balance needs, good corporate citizenship and company growth. At PCG, we were determined to find a better solution; LongitudeRx is that solution.”
The multifunctional software analyzes pharmaceutical data by its most critical points, issues alerts for defined thresholds, provides summary and location level reporting, and delivers ad hoc analysis and mapping features, Murphy said. “LongitudeRX will greatly improve regulatory compliance, reduce diversion activities, and create a system of smart, efficient and effective due diligence.”
As part of the launch, PCG is scheduling demonstrations and providing a limited number of opportunities for companies to experience the software with their own data samples, the company stated.
