Price Chopper appoints Ritzert to VP meat merchandising

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. Supermarket chain Price Chopper has appointed a new head of the meat department.

The chain and parent company Golub Corp. announced the promotion of Larry Ritzert to the position of VP meat merchandising, reporting to VP perishable merchandising Mark Brown.

Ritzert began working at Price Chopper in 2007 as a category manager, previously working as meat and seafood director for Biggs, a Cincinnati-based chain owned by Supervalu.
