ARLINGTON, Va. — Voters overwhelmingly support provider status for pharmacists, according to a 2015 Victory Vision poll released earlier this week by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. In fact, more voters support it this year (82%) than last year (79%).
And the legislation enjoys support across parties, with 78% of Republicans, 86% of Democrats and 81% of Independents favoring provider status for pharmacists.
NACDS commissioned the survey, which was conducted by Public Opinion Strategies. The Internet survey was conducted in July 2015 among "opinion elites" - likely voters who are engaged and aware when it comes to current events.
The announcement was first released this week to members of the
NACDS RxIMPACT Pharmacy Advocates group on LinkedIn. NACDS encourages members to join the NACDS RxIMPACT Pharmacy Advocates group on LinkedIn to gain insights on grassroots advocacy, to demonstrate their authority as a pharmacy advocates and to help foster community among those who help to advance a pro-patient, pro-pharmacy agenda.
