Raid rolls out early-detection product for bed bugs

5/3/2016

RACINE, Wis.  -- Raid is tackling the growing bed bug problem in America with a new product that detects the insects before a large-scale infestation can occur.

The new Raid Bed Bug Detector & Trap rolling out at retailers nationwide enables consumers to see evidence of bed bugs before an infestation occurs.

The product has a partially enclosed trap with a see-through window allowing consumers to identify the problem and effectively dispose of the bugs caught in the trap. Upon entering the detector, bed bugs will be trapped inside. The device can be placed on the floor next to legs of furniture, including beds, sofas and daybeds, under furniture cushions or between the mattress and the box spring.

The new Raid Bed Bug Detector & Trap is also great for travelers. It fits in carry-on luggage and can be placed behind headboards or under hotel mattresses to detect bed bugs.

The Raid Bed Bug Detector & Trap is available at Walgreens, Target and other mass retailers.
