SACRAMENTO -- Raley’s Supermarkets is building a new concept in along downtown Sacramento’s R Street arts corridor.
According to the Sacramento Bee, the 11,000-square-foot market will be under the umbrella of the Raley’s brand, but will be operated independently, the company said.
The new concept, dubbed Market 5-ONE-5, is being described as an indoor farmers market and was the brainchild of Raley’s president and CEO Michael Teel. The new store would be much smaller than full-service grocery stores.
