Report: Kroger to expand Harris Teeter's 'click and collect' program

12/30/2014

CINCINNATI — Kroger is reportedly expanding the testing of an e-commerce service in Greater Cincinnati that is modeled after Harris Teeter’s “click and collect” program, according to a local report.

For the past decade, Kroger has been dabbling with an online ordering home delivery service at its King Soopers business in Denver, but now the grocer is reportedly testing Harris Teeter’s “click and collect” service, according to Cincinnati.com. Kroger acquired Harris Teeter in January.

Kroger began the test in September, allowing store employees at the 730 Yankee Road Marketplace to use the service. Now, Kroger is expanding the service to shoppers at a Liberty Township store, according to the article. Kroger is hoping to eventually expand the service to another Kroger store.
