CARACAS, Venezuela — The Venezeulan government has continued its crackdown on retailers in the country for allegedly hoarding products, including expropriating the retailers into a "pubic-private" alliance,
the PanAm Post reported Wednesday.
According to the report, Venezuela President Nicolás Maduro announced the pharmacy chain Farmatodo would be absorbed into the system of state food distribution called "Mission Nourishment."
And on Monday Maduro told the United Socialist Party of Venezuela that another company, Corporación Cárnica, would be seized and folded into the state rationing organ PDVAL, the PanAm Post reported.
