Rite Aid kicks off annual Favorite Pharmacist program
CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid on Wednesday announced its sixth annual Favorite Pharmacist program — a program where Rite Aid patients can nominate their favorite pharmacists — in correlation with American Pharmacists Month.
Patients who vote will be entered into a random drawing where one Rite Aid customer will win $2,500 in Rite Aid gift cards.
“There’s no better time to honor our pharmacists than American Pharmacists Month,” stated Robert Thompson, Rite Aid EVP pharmacy. “Earlier this year, in West Babylon, N.Y., [Rite Aid] pharmacy manager Katerina Stefanou was counseling a patient on blood pressure medication when she noticed he was unsteady and had red eyes,” Thompson said. “[Stefanou] took his blood pressure, which was high, and immediately called an ambulance. Her quick thinking helped her patient avoid a possible stroke. That’s just one example of how our pharmacists are making a difference in the lives of their patients.”
Now through Oct. 31, Rite Aid pharmacy customers can cast a vote for their favorite pharmacist online at www.riteaid.com/vote or at any Rite Aid store.
