Rite Aid tests pilot customer rewards program
BUFFALO Rite Aid launched its new customer rewards program, dubbed “wellness +,” in Buffalo as 1-of-4 test markets, The Buffalo News reported Tuesday.
The other test markets include Greensboro, N.C., Harrisburg, Pa. and San Diego.
Consumers earn rewards points (1 point for each dollar-spent) on their loyalty card through purchases, and can cash in on those points with such free health screenings as glucose or cholesterol readings (with 500 points) or store discounts. Card members also receive 10% off of all store brand purchases.
Also as part of the program, members will have 24-hour access to their Rite Aid pharmacists through a toll-free number for consultations.
There are approximately 80 Rite Aid locations in the Buffalo/Niagara region.
