Rubbermaid's new mop reveals clean floors

ATLANTA Newell Rubbermaid has launched a microfiber spray mop that cleans floors while saving money.

The new Rubbermaid Reveal microfiber spray mop features a reusable microfiber pad that deeply cleans and allows users to choose and mix their own cleaning solution — or even use water. Unlike the leading spray mop, the Rubbermaid Reveal spray bottle is refillable. What's more, the reusable microfiber pad is machine-washable so it can be used up to 100 times, Rubbermaid said, allowing consumers to save an average of $50 annually, compared with the leading spray mop.

The Rubbermaid Reveal microfiber spray mop now is available at leading retailers, including Target and select Walmart locations, for a suggested retail price of $24.99. Additional accessories include extra microfiber pads ($5.99) and additional refill bottles ($3.99) for added cleaning flexibility.

"The costs of owning the leading spray mop add up quickly when you factor in purchase of the starter kit followed by the ongoing cost of refills and batteries, and they require a lot of work to achieve desired results," said Steve Pawl, VP marketing for the company's Rubbermaid consumer global business unit. "The Rubbermaid Reveal microfiber spray mop meets these needs by cleaning deeply and helping consumers reduce waste and save money."
