Schreiner MediPharm develops labels to curb counterfeiting

6/2/2010

BLAUVELT, N.Y. A Germany-based global provider of specialty pharmaceutical labeling solutions has developed labels that provide tamper protection for product packs, as well as for variable printed data.

Schreiner MediPharm's new labels feature special void effects that are integrated into the label for anticounterfeiting purposes. Void effects reliably indicate fraudulent re-use of previously used containers or alterations of variable data. The new labels -- when detached from the surface -- show an irreversible, previously hidden message or pattern, making the label unfit for re-use and therefore immune to tampering.

Based in the Munich area of Germany, Schreiner MediPharm provides specialty labels and label printing services to the biggest names in the healthcare market in more than 20 countries around the world. For more information, visit Schreiner-medipharm.com .
