Sedano's Supermarkets expands
MIAMI Hispanic retailer Sedano's Supermarkets is expanding for the first time beyond its South Florida headquarters through the acquisition of three Albertsons supermarket locations in Central Florida.
The acquisition of the three Orlando area locations brings the total number of stores to 33 in Florida. According to the company, the locations offer Sedano's an opportunity to address to needs of Orlando's growing Hispanic community. The stores, which vary in size from 58,000 square feet to 65,000 square feet, will feature Sedano's staple Latin products, as well as mainstream everyday items.
Sedano's will officially take control of acquired stores in the first quarter 2010.
