SheaMoisture adds pre-natal collection to offerings

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — SheaMoisture has expanded its portfolio with a new pre-natal collection made with natural and certified organic ingredients. Enter the new Raw Shea & Cupuaçu Mommy collection.

The new collection was created from family recipes carried down from founder and CEO Richelieu Dennis’ grandmother, Sofi Tucker. SheaMoisture is the legacy of Tucker, who when widowed a young age, sold her handcrafted shea butter preparations throughout Sierra Leone to support her children. She became known as a healer throughout the countryside.
 


Each product contains certified organic raw shea butter sourced from women’s co-ops in Northern Ghana, which moisturizes and aids in repairing skin with vitamins and essential fatty acids. The products also contain amazonia cupuaçu, which helps protect, soften and soothe, and pistachio oil, rich in vitamin E and phytosterols to nourish and protect skin. The products are free of parabens, phthalates, paraffin, propylene glycol, mineral oil, DEA, sulfates, silicones, synthetic fragrance and artificial coloring.
