JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a simultaneous ribbon-cutting ceremony spanning Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida, Southeastern Grocers on Wednesday unveiled its new Harveys Supermarket store concept in 73 locations.

Each of the new stores is tailored to the needs of the communities it serves, with a focus on value, food quality and serving with personality, the company said, adding that the stores are also focused on delivering savings, lowering prices on 3,000 items throughout the store through its “Great Low Price” items and “Low and Staying Low” deals

“For more than 90 years, Harveys Supermarket has been the local grocer that customers can count on for all their grocery needs,” Southeastern Grocers president and CEO Ian McLeod said.  The Harveys banner expansion exemplifies our commitment to our near-century heritage and unwavering customer promise of providing great value, great prices and great service.”

Among the enhancements in the new format are a new design concept that features a new façade and contemporary interior signage, a new $1 Zone inside the sores featuring more than 600 popular items, an expanded meat department, refreshed produce departments and an enhanced health and beauty care section, in addition to its focus on deals. The first new format store was launched in Jacksonville in May, followed by the Charlotte, N.C., store in July.

Alongside the new format, Harveys unveiled a new rewards card, Harveys Rewards + Plenti, which will allow customers to earn free gas and groceries whenever they purchase those items.

“Customers shopping at our new Harveys Supermarket will now find thousands of great low prices and significant savings that make a meaningful difference for families on a budget,” McLeod said.
