Supervalu eliminates 90 employees, including 25 headquarter positions
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Supervalu, the owner of Albertsons supermarkets in Idaho, is cutting 25 headquarter positions as part of a 90-person reduction in force, the grocer reported Friday through IdahoStatesman.com, a news portal.
The company has also enacted a hiring freeze.
The grocer’s cost-cutting measures will also include approximately 50 store closings. None, however, in Idaho, the news site reported.
