Take Care inks deal for AT&T Business in a Box

2/27/2008

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. Take Care Health Systems, which is owned by Walgreens, has signed a network, data and voice services agreement with AT&T for its AT&T Business in a Box service.

The service uses the power of Internet Protocol communications to simplify IT operations for smaller and midsize businesses and branch offices of large businesses.

Under the agreement with Take Care, AT&T will support the clinic operator’s communications infrastructure, converging the company’s IT and communications solutions into one product that will streamline IT processes at the clinic level and contribute to a seamless experience for Take Care and clinic patients.

“Take Care Health’s priority is to provide an exceptional patient experience at our clinics, so it is critical that we have a simple solution that can support all of our advanced applications,” stated Kevin Young, director of telecommunications for Take Care. “We are confident that AT&T Business in a Box will support our clinical applications and provide the flexibility we need to meet our goals.”

The clinic operator currently has 145 clinics in 15 cities and 13 states, with more than 400 clinics planned with Walgreens by the end of 2008.
