Teligent gets FDA approval for generic Topicort ointment

SILVER SPRING, Md. — Specialty generics company Teligent received approval from the Food and Drug Administration Friday for its generic of Topicort Ointment (desoximetasone, 0.25%).  This marks Teligents 12th product in their domestic portfolio. 

 

The ointment will be available in 15-, 60- and 100-g tubes, and the company expects it to be available in the second quarter of 2016. The product saw sales of $17 million for the 12 months ended December 2015, according to IMS Health data.
