Tostitos rolls out new items under Artisan Recipes line
PLANO, Texas — Tostitos is expanding its Artisan Recipes brand with the introduction of two new tortilla chips flavors.
New baked three cheese queso and toasted southwestern spices flavors are made with a nine-grain blend and real ingredients, such as roasted garlic, a blend of three cheeses and spices, including red pepper and cumin. The new flavors build on the success of the line, which was launched in late 2010 and originally included fire-roasted chipotle and roasted garlic and black bean flavors.
"Whether dining out or relaxing at home with that special someone, consumers are looking to be inspired by their food," said Jody Denton, culinary expert at Frito-Lay North America's Flavor Kitchen, one of the company's key flavor development centers. "Consumers' tastes are becoming more sophisticated and adventurous than ever before, so we crafted the new Tostitos Artisan Recipe flavors to answer that call by layering ingredients, like multiple cheeses and spices, to add depth that comes through from the very first bite."
New Tostitos Artisan Recipes baked three cheese queso- and toasted southwestern spices-flavored flavored tortilla chips now are available nationwide in a 9.75-oz. bag for a suggested retail price of $3.99.
