MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Retail Solutions, Inc. earlier this week announced the winners of the RSi 2016 Awards for Excellence. The 1st Annual Awards program recognized seven key supplier teams based on their achievements with data analytics in the retail space. The award winners were supplier teams working directly with their respective retail leaders at Ahold, Target and Walgreens.
"As pioneers for data collaboration between retailers and their suppliers, RSi is committed to helping every industry stakeholder achieve operational excellence," stated Laurie Speaks, director marketing for RSi. "This awards program was created so both retailers and suppliers are recognized for their continued efforts to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and joint value creation in our industry."
This year's winners accepted their awards on stage at CGT Business Technology Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla. on Oct. 19 before the Tech Trend study session. Award winners included supplier teams from Wrigley, L'Oréal, Mondelēz, Unilever, Hershey and Danone.
The grand prize winner at CGT BTLC was awarded to a supplier team for setting a new precedent in retailer-supplier collaboration and creating best practice processes that benefited both retailer and supplier alike. This collaboration will have a direct influence on how the retailer addresses this business case moving forward. This year the award went to the Unilever Walgreens team for their innovative approach to Display Tool Optimization.
"We are honored to be recognized for our work on Display Optimization with Walgreens" said Michael Palmer, customer business manager Unilever. "Our team worked hand in hand with Walgreens to develop a win-win approach to display planning and forecasting."
RSi will start accepting submissions and nominations for their 2017 Awards for Excellence program starting in February. "The awards process is an extensive and multi-layered process," Speaks said. "It's exciting to see these extraordinary accomplishments and the overall great effort by all participants. We are already looking forward to next year's submissions."
