DEERFIELD, Ill. - Flu activity is still trending high according to the latest Walgreens Flu Index released Thursday. According to the report, Kentucky, Wyoming and New Mexico are the three states exhibiting the most flu activity. Also on that top 10 list is New Jersey and Hawaii.
The top 10 markets with flu activity for the week of March 20 were:
El Paso, Texas (Las Cruces, N.M.);
Louisville, Ky.;
Beaumont – Port Arthur, Texas;
Columbus – Tupelo – West Point – Houston, Miss.;
Memphis, Tenn.;
Chattanooga, Tenn.;
Duluth, Minn.-Superior, Wis.;
Harlingen – Weslaco – Brownsville – McAllen, Texas;
Charleston, S.C.; and
Phoenix (Prescott), Ariz.
The top 10 markets with flu activity gains in that period were:
Duluth, Minn.-Superior, Wis.;
Wausau-Rhinelander, Wis.;
Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, Mich.;
Springfield-Holyoke, Mass.;
Albany-Schenectady-Troy, N.Y.;
Colorado Springs-Pueblo, Colo.;
Rochester, N.Y.;
Lafayette, La.;
Seattle-Tacoma, Wash.; and
Albuquerque-Santa Fe, N.M.
