Walgreens Flu Index' heat map shows heavy flu incidence across West, South U.S.
DEERFIELD, Ill. - Like a winter storm, flu incidence is sweeping across the West Coast according to the latest Walgreens Flu Index released Thursday. The orange on Walgreens' Flu Index heat map represents a slanted front as far north as Washington that stretches south all the way to Louisiana.
The top 10 Walgreens markets with flu activity for the week of Feb. 14 include:
El Paso, Texas (Las Cruces, N.M);
Harlingen – Weslaco – Brownsville – McAllen, Texas;
Phoenix (Prescott), Ariz.;
Tucson (Sierra Vista), Ariz.;
Tallahassee, Fla. – Thomasville, Ga.;
Memphis, Tenn.;
Dallas – Ft. Worth, Texas;
Tyler – Longview (Lufkin & Nacogdoches), Texas;
Miami – Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and
Palm Springs, Calif.
