KENILWORTH, N.J. – The Merck Manuals on Monday partnered with Walgreens to provide the retailer's pharmacists and clinicians access to MerckManuals.com.
“Working with Walgreens to provide a direct link to MerckManuals.com for its professionals builds on our ongoing commitment to sharing trusted medical information with partners in the healthcare sphere,” stated Melissa Adams, director publishing for The Merck Manuals.
Last year, many new multimedia features were added to the redesigned website, which includes a newsfeed, commentary, infographics, animations, video clips, health calculators and trackers, quizzes, as well as a drug interaction checker, pill identifier, and guide to pronunciation of medical terms.
Pharmaceutical manufacturer Merck published the original Merck Manual for doctors and pharmacists in 1899. The professional edition was updated 18 times, lastly in 2011.
