Walgreens to honor veterans with Memorial Day discount

DEERFIELD, Ill. — In honor of the service and sacrifices of Americans who served in the armed forces, Walgreens is offering a Memorial Day 20% discount to all veterans, active duty military personnel and their immediate family members, including the families of those who lost their lives in service to their country.

“Every day we are honored to serve our veterans, military personnel and their families,” said Richard Ashworth, president, pharmacy and retail operations, Walgreens. “Memorial Day is an opportunity to pay tribute in this small way to their service, commitment and sacrifice, for which we at Walgreens are deeply grateful.”

On Monday, May 29, customers with a Walgreens Balance Rewards card and valid military ID or proof of service will receive 20% off regular price eligible store items* at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore nationwide. A Balance Rewards customer loyalty program membership is free and can be obtained at checkout.
