WellCare awards grants to community-based organizations in Pa.
TAMPA, Fla. -- WellCare Health Plans, Inc. is helping four community-based organizations in Pennsylvania with several micro-grants.
The company announced that it has awarded $6,000 in micro-grants to nonprofit and 501(c)(3) organizations that address needs related to homelessness, caregiver supports, food access and transportation. The micro-grants were given in denominations of $1,500.
"WellCare is proud to support community-based organizations that provide critical social services to low-income seniors, people with disabilities, children and families," said Shaune Lancit, a community advocacy manager at WellCare. "These micro-grants will help sustain the social safety net, which is essential to helping to improve and strengthen communities in Pennsylvania."

PA Families, Inc.
North Hills Community Outreach
Dial-A-Driver Program, Volunteers of America PA
