Winn Dixie receives community service recognition in Miami

MIAMI Winn Dixie on Thursday received public recognition for its service and commitment to the Miami, particularly in the Liberty City community, the grocer announced.

"We proudly receive this honor. By partnering with neighborhood organizations in the communities we serve, Winn-Dixie is able to better support organizations that focus on issues that are important to our customers and associates," stated Randy Rambo, Winn-Dixie's regional vice president of the Miami Region.

Winn-Dixie received this special recognition for the service the company provides inside the store, for the company's longstanding commitment to hiring young people from the community, and for its support of the many Liberty City neighborhood organizations, including the Optimist Club, the Liberty City Trust and the Northwestern High School band.
