Yoplait debuts original, Greek frozen yogurt items

LE MARS, Iowa — Yoplait is making its way to the frozen aisle.

The yogurt brand has rolled out Yoplait original and Yoplait Greek frozen yogurt pints and bars. The frozen yogurt contains live and active cultures, real fruit and uses natural flavors, Yoplait said.

"Yoplait frozen yogurt is a refreshing and rewarding way to feel good about the nutrition of yogurt with a new smooth and creamy ice cream-like experience," said Jill Feuerhelm, marketing manager for Yoplait. "We've taken the most popular flavors and transformed them into frozen yogurt. The first bite says it all."

Yoplait original frozen yogurt pints will be available in strawberry, harvest peach, strawberry banana, cherry orchard, mountain blueberry, vanilla and mixed berry flavors, while Yoplait Greek frozen yogurt pints, available in honey caramel, strawberry, blueberry, peach, black cherry, raspberry fig and vanilla flavors. Both original and Greek pints carry a suggested retail price of $3.99 each.

Yoplait original 1.75-fl.-oz. frozen yogurt bars are available in strawberry banana and harvest peach varieties for a suggested retail price of $4.93 for a box of 10, while Yoplait 2.65-fl.-oz. Greek frozen yogurt bars are available in honey caramel and raspberry flavors for a suggested retail price of $4.93 for a box of six.
