Orgain packs pancake, waffle mixes with protein

Orgain is putting a protein-packed twist on two breakfast staples — pancakes and waffles.

The Irvine, Calif.-based brand is unveiling its new protein pancake and waffle mixes, which are certified USDA Organic and made without the use of soy, dairy, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, the company said.

Containing 10 g of plant-based protein per serving, the mix is available in three different flavors — whole wheat and oat, 50 superfoods, and classic gluten free.

All three of the new protein pancake and waffle mixes come in 14-oz. pouches that can be found online at Orgain.com and Amazon.com, as well as on  such retailers' shelves as Whole Foods Market, Sprouts and Costco.
