10/20/2008

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. W. F. Young, marketers of Absorbine Jr., last week named Adam Raczkowski to the post of president. Raczkowski will become only the third president to serve over the company’s 116 year history who is a non-family member, the company stated. Tyler Young, former president and chief executive officer, will continue in the role of chief executive officer of the family business.

“Adam’s professionalism and entrepreneurial drive will push W. F. I feel strongly that his leadership and ability to think strategically are exactly what are needed to continue the growth of the company.”

Raczkowski joined W. F. Young in 1992 and has worked in many areas of the company, including finance, operations, sales and marketing. Prior to joining W. F. Young, Inc., he was with GTE, Gillette, Morse Shoe, Inc. and Allied Printing Company.

Raczkowski is a member of the W. F. Young board and serves on the executive committee of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association. He also serves on the board of the Springfield Homeless Employment and Training Committee and is the treasurer of the East Longmeadow Educational Endowment Fund and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, working hands-on at local building sites.
