11/24/2014

WHIPPANY, N.J. — After 20 years as director, industry affairs and customer relations Bayer Consumer Care, David Heist on Monday announced his retirement effective May 1, 2015. Heist will be helping transition Christopher Guida into this role from Merck, he said.

"[Bayer Consumer Care and Merck Consumer Care] are currently in the transition phase of bringing the two businesses together to form the 'New Bayer Consumer Care,'" Heist shared in an email.

"For the time being, it will be business as usual until all the pieces of the puzzle have been placed in the proper position to form the New Bayer," he continued. "During the next few months, I will be helping Chris by facilitating his transition [as] Bayer’s new ambassador to the industry. While I will be involved in industry events through April, please join me in welcoming Chris to Bayer and to the new and exciting opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to move towards the New Bayer Consumer Care and beyond."
