NEW YORK — Hypochondriacs may want to skip over this article.
A Belgian healthcare website,
Gezondheid en Wetenschap, recently presented the lighter side of researching medical conditions on Google. Under the tagline "Don't Google it, check a reliable source," the site is looking to redirect health condition searches its way.
According to reports, the site is using a Google AdWords campaign to capture traffic. For example, if you were to Google "twitching eyelid" in Belgium, the first result is: "Don't Google it, check a reliable source," with a link to the healthcare website.
