CHPA adds 10 members

WASHINGTON — The Consumer Healthcare Products Association earlier this month added 10 member companies to its roster, including four manufacturer members and six associate members.


 


The new members include manufacturers Clarion Brands, Ohm Laboratories, Sheffield Pharmaceuticals and UrgentRx. The new associate members include AmerisourceBergen, DRS Product Returns, GKV, Ibotta, Mindshare and National Sales Solutions. 


 


Clarion Brands — based in Trevose, Pa. — has acquired existing OTC brands Absorbine Jr., Certain Dri and Cystex; the dietary supplement Lipo-Flavonoid; as well as Albolene and AntiMonkey Butt. Princeton, N.J.-based Ohm Laboratories, a division of Ranbaxy, is both a contract and private-label manufacturer. Key OTC therapeutic product areas are gastrointestinals, cough/cold, allergy, sinus and pain management. 


 


Sheffield Pharmaceuticals, out of New London, Conn., is a contract manufacturer as well that also services OTC cream, ointment and toothpaste, nasal and first aid segments. And UrgentRx, based in Denver, manufacturers powdered relief products for headache, heartburn, allergy, aches and pains, upset stomach and critical care (aspirin).


 


AmerisourceBergen is one of the largest global pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution services companies, with services ranging from drug distribution and niche premium logistics to reimbursement and pharmaceutical consulting services. They are based out of Chesterbrook, Pa. DRS Product Returns, operating out of Reading, Pa. is a provider of product return and product recall services in the consumer products industry. They manage programs and projects involving products affected by damage, expiration, recall and/or discontinuation. Services include: physical control and chain of custody certification, product inspection and data capture, information reporting and data analytics, advisory services and supply chain research, asset recovery and secondary market sales, claims processing and physical validation, and transportation and logistics.


 


Baltimore's GKV is a full-service marketing communications firm, dedicated to helping challenger brands in crowded categories like consumer health products take market share from the category leaders. Ibotta, which operates out of Denver, is a retail shopping app that is replacing coupons with a rich set of pre-shopping interactions that allow brands to reach their consumers and communicate core value propositions.


 


Mindshare, based in New York, is a global media agency network helping clients to make collaborative and adaptive decisions across their paid, owned and earned marketing in real-time through its marketing engine, The Loop. And National Sales Solutions, from Ellisville, Mo, is a leading provider of outsourced sales management, marketing and supply chain management. NSS helps clients launch new products, expand into new retailers, grow current sales or enter the U.S. market from abroad.
