CHPA adds 8 new members, names Perrigo EVP chairman of the board

WASHINGTON — The Consumer Healthcare Products Association on Thursday elected Jeff Needham as chairman of the CHPA Board of Directors at its June meeting. Needham serves as EVP and general manager of U.S. Consumer Healthcare for Perrigo Company, the nation’s largest manufacturer of over-the-counter private label products for the store brand market.




Needham succeeds Patrick Lockwood-Taylor, who was previously VP of Personal Health Care North America and Global Digestive Wellness at Proctor & Gamble.




“I am very much looking forward to serve as chair and continuing to work closely with the board to help generate a positive environment for our industry and most importantly, serving our consumers,” Needham said.




Needham’s commitment to CHPA spans many years during which he has served as a board member, executive committee member, the finance committee chair, and most recently, chair-elect. Needham also serves as a member of the CHPA Educational Foundation Board of Directors.

Also, during the board meeting today, CHPA elected Thomas Finn, president, Global Personal Health Care, Procter & Gamble , who will serve on the CHPA board of directors and the CHPA Executive Committee.            


        

And CHPA elected Joy-Lee Pasqualoni, consumer communication leader- North America, Johnson & Johnson Consumer, to the CHPA Educational Foundation board of directors. Christopher DeWolf, president and CEO Lil’ Drug Store Products, will continue to serve as chair.

In addition to the personnel moves, CHPA elected three new manufacturer members and five new associate members. Joining CHPA are:


 




  • Kowa Health Care America, which will be launching a branded analgesic late in 2016, contingent upon label review. Reiko Egashira, product marketing manager, will be the primary contact;


  • Molnlycke Health Care, which markets Hibiclens, an antiseptic/antimicrobial skin cleanser. Janet Carter-Smith, VP retail, will be the primary contact;and


  • Rounding out the new CHPA manufacturer members is Perfecta Products, which markets Zim's Max topical analgesics. Scott Gorley, president, will be the primary contact.


New CHPA associate members incude law firm Amin Talati and Upadhye; Edwin Hemwall, an OTC product development consultant; Kline, a syndicated market research firm; PDR, a provider of behavior-based prescription management programs; and Naturex, a natural ingredient supplier.
