CHPA elects new board members

The Consumer Healthcare Products Association and the CHPA Educational Foundation announced on Thursday the election of new board members.

Newly elected CHPA board members include:

  • Thomas Corley, executive vice president, chief global retail officer, president, U.S. Market, Catalina

  • Steven LaMonte, executive chairman, Matrixx Initiatives

  • Carlyn Solomon, chief executive officer, Santa Cruz Healthcare/BestCo


“CHPA welcomes our new board members and we look forward to their leadership at such an exciting time for the consumer healthcare industry,” said Gary Downing, CHPA chairman and CEO of Clarion Brands.

“The association is fortunate to have such an active and organizationally diverse board of directors, each of whom ensures the needs and concerns of the broader self-care industry is represented at CHPA,” added CHPA president and CEO Scott Melville.

The board of directors also elected Deborah Mignucci, vice president, strategic accounts, WebMD to join the CHPA Educational Foundation board.

“Our current board members bring a diverse array of knowledge spanning the consumer healthcare space,” said CHPA Educational Foundation chairman Stephen Neumann, vice president, consumer insights & business intelligence, Bayer Consumer Health. “Deb’s digital health experience and understanding of the consumer digital journey will be an incredibly valuable addition.”

In her role at WebMD, Mignucci helps drives media and marketing solutions for non-pharma clients on WebMD. She also serves on the management team to set strategic direction for the WebMD business.

“We are thrilled to have Deb join our board,” added Anita Brikman, executive director of the CHPA Educational Foundation. “We look forward to her perspectives as we further the foundation’s mission to be the trusted source of information on the responsible use of consumer healthcare products, including over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements.”
