OAK BROOK, Ill. — CoAg Medical earned top honors this year at the ECRM Health Care EPPS held here, securing recognition of its StopsBleeding product by being named this year's Drug Store News/ECRM Most Innovative Product Award.
Buyers cast votes on product innovation and packaging. Attending the ECRM Health Care EPPS were representatives from more than 40 retailers. The company earned distribution through Walmart earlier this year.
"StopsBleeding changes first aid bleeding situations forever," stated Amir Ahmed, CoAg Medical chief medical officer. "Now everyday people will generously apply StopsBleeding powder to their wound and apply pressure."
A must-have in any first-aid kit, CoAg's StopsBleeding is a sterile modified amylopectin, organic powder which effectively stops bleeding for topical and trauma use including major arterial wounds. Cuts, lacerations, gun-shot wounds and even arterial bleeding can be controlled with StopsBleeding, the company stated.
HemAway was also recognized for product innovation by Drug Store News and ECRM for its HemAway Cream to soothe hemorrhoids.
HemAway Cream is a patented formulation that is the only hemorrhoid cream on the market that contains both 5% lidocaine and .25% phenylephrine, the company stated, along with many beneficial inactives such as Aloe, vitamin E and grape skin extract. It is a water based and non-greasy formula.
