SAN DIEGO — Cosmederm Bioscience on Tuesday announced the introduction of ItchFreeZone.com, a new resource for all things itch.
More than 300 million people suffer from acute itch every year and more than 110 million suffer from chronic itch conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis and diabetic itch, the company stated. The new site addresses a wide range of topics from "Itch 101" basics to conditions and symptoms to recommendations on how to manage itch. Site visitors will find information on everything from how to treat a summer bug bite to advice for reducing itch during the winter.
"When itch sufferers searched online in the past, they'd have to dig through a variety of sources to get a 360 degree view of itch," said Sean Edwards, CEO and president, Cosmederm Bioscience. "We designed the ItchFreeZone to address this need and serve as an online education resource for anyone in search of itch-related information. Our goal for the ItchFreeZone is to empower visitors with the critical knowledge they need to help themselves, their loved ones or inform others."
ItchFreeZone visitors can expect the site to be updated seasonally with information relating to itch conditions. Additionally, the first 75 visitors to subscribe to the ItchFreeZone newsletter will receive a free copy of the book "Living with Itch" written by dermatologist and itch expert, Gil Yosipovitch.
