Crave Crush puts a smack down on sugar cravings

3/23/2017

NEW YORK — Crave Crush on Thursday introduced a mint lozenge that reduces sugar cravings.  Its main ingredient, gymnema, is a natural leaf extract that helps support healthy dietary habits by influencing the tongue's sweet taste receptors, thereby preventing activation of those receptors by sugar molecules and preventing those receptors from signaling the brain.

"Crave Crush reduces consumption of high-sugar foods.  The idea that you can reduce the desire for sugar, in seconds, by suppressing sweet taste is groundbreaking," stated Eric Stice, a neuroscientist at the Oregon Research Institute and expert on obesity and eating disorders, who has conducted a number of studies on Crave Crush expected to be published later this year.

The product was developed using a patented technology created by Crave Crush in partnership with Grant Dubois, former director of ingredient and product sciences at the Coca-Cola Company. "Crave Crush is a unique, easy-to-use product that has the potential to help millions of people make healthier food choices," Dubois said.

Crave Crush is now available online as well as in premium pharmacies throughout New York City.
