Dr. Oz recognizes Omron with Golden Heart Honors

5/12/2016

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Omron Healthcare was honored at the 10th Annual HealthCorps Gala hosted by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lisa Oz on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Ranndy Kellogg, newly appointed president and CEO of Omron Healthcare, accepted the Golden Heart Honors, which are bestowed on individuals and organizations for their efforts and leadership in promoting health and wellness among children.

"Future generations, given the right information, education and technology, could be the first to live in a 'zero event' world – one with zero heart attacks and strokes," Kellogg said. "Omron's mission is to make that vision a reality, and it manifests in all we do – from continuous improvement in technology, to instilling in our children an understanding of heart health and the importance of self-care. Omron is proud to support the mission of HealthCorps and honored by the recognition of our efforts."

"Promoting and protecting the health of America's children requires the cooperation and collaboration of a whole community – non-profit organizations, the medical establishment and visionary businesses, like Omron Healthcare," commented Oz, co-founder of HealthCorps and host of the gala. "Our honorees embody the core values of our organization and we're grateful for their leadership and commitment."

The HealthCorps Gala, which took place at Pier 60 in New York, featured performances from Ben Vereen, Eturnity Band and Broadway's Stepp Stewart. The gala, themed "A Walk Through Our Rose Garden," raised funds for HealthCorps to continue its mission of educating youth about the dangers of childhood obesity and how to both overcome and prevent this epidemic with physical fitness, nutrition and mental resilience education.

Funding from the event will go directly to the continued expansion of HealthCorps' groundbreaking, in-school Health Education programming.
