Dr. Reddy’s launches generic of OTC Prevacid
Dr. Reddy’s is debuting lansoprazole delayed-release capsules in a dosage strength of 15 mg.
The product is a generic OTC version of Takeda’s Prevacid 24HR capsules.
Dr. Reddy’s OTC lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat frequent heartburn occurring two or more days a week. It is available in 14, 28 and 42 count sizes.

The Prevacid 24HR brand and generic had a maket value of approximately $57 million for the most recent 12 months ended August 2019, according to IQVIA.
