Dynova buys SiCap's Sinus Buster brand

PARSIPPANY, N.J. Dynova Laboratories on Thursday announced the acquisition of SiCap Industries and its line of capsaicin-based products that are marketed under the Sinus Buster brand. SiCap marks the first acquisition for Dynova, a new company looking to develop over-the-counter products at retail.

“Today’s consumers are redefining the healthcare market as they increasingly turn to natural products to treat a variety of conditions and improve their wellbeing,” stated Dynova chief executive officer Lynne Millheiser-Swanbeck. “While SiCap is the first in the Dynova family of companies, we are aggressively looking for other unique, natural and effective products and technologies.” 

The Dynova executive team has extensive experience in both the consumer healthcare and natural supplement industries, the company stated. Millheiser-Swanbeck joined Dynova from Novartis where she was senior vice president for the North American OTC division. Jeff Vernimb, vice president, Marketing and Sales, for Dynova was vice president of Global Marketing for Cardinal Health’s Oral Technologies group and also held the title of vice president, Marketing for Novartis’s OTC division. Jennifer Cooper, Dynova’s vice president of research and development, has nearly two decades of experience in the dietary supplement and functional food categories, including stints at Twin Laboratories and Solgar.
