HealthSports electrolyte strips to be available at Rite Aid's GNC Live Well locations

AMHERST, N.Y. HealthSport, a manufacturer of branded nutritional supplements in an edible film strip delivery system, announced Tuesday that its thin-strip electrolyte delivery system, Enlyten SportStrips will be available at all 1,250 GNC LiveWell store-within-a-store locations inside Rite Aid starting in January 2008.

“Our distribution at GNC LiveWell locations within Rite Aid positions our product for brand awareness and growth with their customers, stated Gary Thomas, vice president of sales for HealthSport. “As we continue to educate consumers, we want to align our product with retailers that understand how Enlyten SportStrips aid in hydration, whether it’s the elite athlete or soccer moms.”

And on Monday, the company gained distribution of its Enlyten PediaStrips, a thin strip designed to deliver electrolytes to children who are at risk of dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhea, through Duane Reade. “Having distribution in the Duane Reade stores is another key piece in the roll out of PediaStrips,” Thomas noted.
