Helen of Troy closes Kaz transaction

EL PASO, Texas — Helen of Troy on Monday announced that it has completed its acquisition of humidifier manufacturer Kaz. Sales for the next 12 months, ending Dec. 31, 2011, are expected to exceed $400 million, the company announced.

Kaz markets products under a variety of brand names, including Vicks and Braun under license from Procter & Gamble and Honeywell under license from Honeywell. Kaz brands include Stinger, Softheat and Kaz. The company’s product portfolio includes vaporizers, humidifiers, thermometers, blood pressure monitors, hot/cold therapy, air purifiers, heaters, fans and dehumidifiers.
