KC Pharmaceuticals names store brand veteran to helm expansion drive

POMONA, Calif. — KC Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday named Jim Medford to the role of president and CEO.



With extensive industry leadership experience in the private label arena, Medford will direct the company's over-the-counter own brand eye care products.



In addition to naming Medford to the helm, KC Pharmaceuticals authorized $8 million in capital investments to better position the company for a "major growth expansion."

The company plans to add a state-of-the-art aseptic manufacturing line and a sterile manufacuring suite. The investment will also be used to fund additional warehouse space.



Medford founded Aaron Industries, a private label manufacturer of liquid cough/cold remedies, stomach remedies and first aid products.

Aaron industries was sold to PL Development in 2013.
