'Life...supplemented' continues wellness campaign with photo contest

3/17/2010

WASHINGTON The “Life…supplemented” consumer wellness initiative on Tuesday launched its America's Wellness Challenge Photo Contest, the second of three online promotions created to encourage Americans to get serious and take action to meet their health goals in 2010.

From March 16 through April 12, “Life…supplemented” is inviting Americans to channel their imagination and dedication to getting healthy with a chance to win one of six prizes, including one grand prize of $1,000 and a year's supply of multivitamins.

“Leading a healthy lifestyle begins with getting educated and making the time,” stated Barbara Dehn, a registered nurse and advisor to the “Life…supplemented” program. “America's Wellness Challenge is designed to motivate consumers to make small changes to improve their wellness regimens. … Now is the time to stop making excuses, get healthier, and potentially win a prize for making it a priority.”

In addition to the America's Wellness Challenge Photo Contest grand prize, two top finalists will each receive $250, a Nintendo Wii console and Wii Fit Plus and three runners-up will each receive a $100 SpaFinder gift certificate. Entries will be judged on clarity of expression, relevance to topic, and creativity/originality.

Additionally, an important component of America's Wellness Challenge and the entire “Life…supplemented” campaign is to urge consumers to participate in online social networks that focus on wellness. Consumers can receive motivational health tips and updates on “Life…supplemented” and America's Wellness Challenge via Twitter (@wannaBwell) and Facebook.
