McNeil launches new cause marketing campaign around Zyrtec to aid National Trust for Historic Preservation, WWF and ASPCA

1/30/2009

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. McNeil Consumer Healthcare on Thursday announced a new cause marketing campaign around Zyrtec.

For every eligible Zyrtec UPC code submitted online by June 30, McNeil has pledged a $2 donation to be shared among three charities — the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the World Wildlife Fund and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals — up to a total donation of $100,000 per organization.

The program was delivered exclusively via e-mail to members of McNeil’s Zyrtopia Web site, a Zyrtec-branded site that offers consumers information on allergies and daily pollen forecasts and creates a social media platform for allergy sufferers.

“Your participation will let the National Trust for Historic Preservation continue to save and revitalize America’s historic treasures, help the WWF preserve the diversity and abundance of life on Earth, and support the ASPCA in fighting animal cruelty,” McNeil’s e-mail stated.
