Ocusoft intros Ocusoft Lid Scrub Allergy
Eye and skin care company Ocusoft is rolling out new innovation for eyelid hygiene. The Rosenberg, Texas-based company has introduced Ocusoft Lid Scrub Allergy eyelid cleanser, a pre-moistened pad meant to help relieve eye symptoms associated with allergies.
Ocusoft Lid Scrub Allergy is designed to remove oil, debris, pollen and other contaminants from eyelids that cause redness, itchiness and inflammation using green tea extract, tea tree oil and phytosphingosine, or PSG-2. In particular, PSG-2 is known to prevent loss of moisture from the skin, promote epidermal cell growth and offer anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, the company said. The tea tree oil is meant to offer anti-inflammatory properties as well, with green tea extract offering anti-allergenic properties.
"We are excited to offer an adjunctive treatment for allergy eyes and eyelids,” said Troy Smith, Ocusoft senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Ocusoft Lid Scrub Allergy conveniently and effectively removes allergens, while calming and moisturizing the eyelids to optimize any eye allergy treatment regimen.”
