P&G partners with world champion skier to encourage Americans to power through cold-cough season
CINCINATTI — Procter & Gamble's DayQuil and NyQuil are partnering with U.S. Alpine skier Ted Ligety this cold-cough-flu season, as he prepares for a chance to compete in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Russia.
This winter Ligety will be spreading the message of using Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil to relieve cold symptoms and "power through anything winter throws at them." The new partnership with Ligety is part of a long-standing Vicks and P&G sponsorship of the Olympics.
“We are excited to be working with world class athlete, Ted Ligety, and while it is obvious he has no time for a sick day in his training, Vicks understands that no American has time for a cold to slow them down, either,” said Dave Tomasi, Vicks North America marketing director. “Harsh winter weather conditions can be brutal for anyone with a cold, and our hope is that all suffering will turn to both DayQuil & NyQuil to help them fight their worst cold symptoms this season.”
Consumers can visit NyQuil's Facebook page to follow Ligety as he trains in preparation for the Olympics.
