UrgentRx, TripTogether uncover consumers’ biggest travel headaches, pain points

11/26/2014

DENVER – UrgentRx and TripTogether, a social travel website designed to connect solo travelers worldwide, on Tuesday partnered to uncover consumers’ biggest travel headaches and pain points. While it’s always exciting to plan the next travel adventure, the high traffic that accompanies the holidays can create added stressors. As many as 53% of consumers say Christmas is the most stressful time of year to travel, with Thanksgiving coming in a close second.

UrgentRx and TripTogether uncovered travelers’ biggest complaints and offer solutions to make holiday travel this season a breeze.

In a survey of travelers worldwide, UrgentRx and TripTogether found:

  • More than 50% agreed that long lines at airport security and flight delays cause the biggest travel headaches;

  • 48% felt that travel by airplane was the most stressful, with bus coming in second;

  • 48% notoriously forget to pack over-the-counter medication for their trips;

  • 34% are most paranoid about forgetting their passport/ID when traveling;

  • Almost 63% would prefer three inches of additional leg room over two free in-flight beverages; and

  • Nearly 60% felt a passenger picking a fight over the seat reclining would be the most annoying flight disrupter.
