Westchester Magazine honors marketing entrepreneur Russo

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. — This week, 914 INC/Westchester Magazine held its fifth annual tribute to 19 business women in the region, among them Robin Russo, founder and president of integrated health-and-wellness brand marketing agency Robin Leedy & Associates. Russo was recognized with one of the magazine’s 2015 Women in Business Awards for her success in business, her influence and her community endeavors. 

 

In 1986, Russo formed her company after leaving a PR firm in New York City, operating out her Mount Kisco, N.Y., home. Her first client was Westchester’s Combe, and success with the company’s OTC brands helped RLA gain notoriety. Now the firm operates out of Pleasantville, offering multi-service, integrated marketing serving a niche group of OTC, nutritional/supplement and personal care brands for pets and humans. 

 

“It’s a well-deserved honor for Robin,” Russo’s business partner and EVP Alyson O’Mahoney said. “Robin has been a tremendous mentor to me and the many women who have worked at RLA, showing all of us that you can balance a successful career and business, giving back to the Westchester community where most of us live, and enjoying family at the same time.” 

 

Russo accepted her award on Nov. 20 at a luncheon in Tarrytown, N.Y.
