7/18/2017

WASHINGTON — The Association for Accessible Medicines has announced two changes to its federal affairs team. The organization on Monday named Kristin Murphy its director of federal affairs, promoting Michael Brzica to the role of VP federal government affairs.

Murphy joins AAM from the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association’s legislative affairs team. During her four years there, she advanced the organization’s agenda and priorities, which included parts of the 21st Century Cures Act. Previously, she worked on the Capitol Hill staff of Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Wash., and the re-election campaign of former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle.

Brzica has been with AAM since 2015 when he joined the government affairs department. Before joining the organization, he worked as a lobbyist for the American Dental Association. Before that he worked in the House of Representatives’ office of legislative counsel.
